Taner Alakuş was born in 1966. He graduated from the Department of Traditional Turkish Handicrafts in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University. He completed his master’s degree at his alma mater. He learned the miniature from Assistant Prof. Tahsin Aykutalp and Yakup Cem. Alakuş has participated in many group exhibitions. Currently he serves as an instructor at Mimar Sinan University and continues to work at his workshop in Istanbul.
